The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has urged eligible voters to register early as voter registration for the 2028 national and local elections begins on November 10 and runs until June 30, 2027. Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said the early registration aims to avoid last-minute applications following the postponement of the Barangay and SK elections to November 2028. Around 74 million registered voters are expected to participate in the 2028 elections.
