The Philippines’ agricultural trade deficit widened by 24.8% year-on-year to $1.25 billion in September 2026, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The increase was driven by a 21.2% decline in agricultural exports to $642.11 million, while imports rose 4.2% to $1.89 billion. Edible fruits and nuts led exports, while cereals accounted for the largest share of agricultural imports.
