The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has obtained more specific information that could help establish the whereabouts of Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, NBI Director Melvin Matibag said Friday. Matibag said the bureau continues to gather intelligence and will enforce the arrest warrant against the senator, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court over alleged crimes against humanity linked to former President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs.

The NBI is also tracking former Bureau of Corrections chief Gerald Bantag, who faces an arrest warrant in connection with the killing of Percy Lapid’s alleged middleman, Jun Villamor, in 2022. A P50-million reward is being offered for information leading to Dela Rosa’s arrest, while a P2-million reward is available for information on Bantag’s whereabouts.
