Petron Corporation reported a 44% decline in net income to ₱5.4 billion from January to September 2026, driven by rising crude oil costs, import premiums, freight expenses, and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The company’s operating income also fell 28% to ₱19.1 billion due to reduced refining margins in Malaysia. Despite these challenges, Petron recorded a 56% increase in revenues to ₱928.2 billion, supported by higher oil prices and increased sales volume. Chairman and CEO Ramon Ang emphasized the company’s commitment to maintaining fuel security and business stability amid external pressures.
