Vice President Sara Duterte will travel to Hong Kong from November 6 to 8 to attend various engagements and activities, including an event organized by the Filipino community, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) said Friday. The OVP said Duterte would shoulder all travel expenses using personal funds, emphasizing that no government money, resources, or facilities would be used for the trip.

Duterte also secured permission to travel abroad through an order issued by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 98 on November 3, along with corresponding travel authority from the Office of the President. Her Hong Kong trip comes ahead of the resumption of her impeachment trial on November 9, when her defense panel is scheduled to present its evidence.
